Many states and school districts have said they will provide personal protective equipment (PPE) for teachers and kids. According to the latest Wall Street Journal article, teachers are stocking up on masks, scrubs and face shields for school classrooms. Some teachers and school administrators say help didn’t come yet from the states, so they started ordering PPE on their own.
A middle-school teacher from Guthrie, Oklahoma, Bryan Dearing, says that his district is recommending but not requiring face coverings when his school reopens on August 20th. Dearing is expecting two face masks from his district, but not much more information has come from the district’s superintendent.
CDC is still recommending that teachers, staff and students wear face coverings whenever possible.
