The new rule requiring the medical-style face shield goes into effect Sept. 10

August 28, 2020

Brookline, Massachusetts township put a new order in place for even people who are “medically excluded” from the rules about wearing a mask in public to have an anti-coronavirus barrier — a plastic face shield writes the Boston Herald today.

Currently, the Brookline rules say that everyone is asked to wear a mask, but the new rule requiring the medical style face shield goes into effect Sept. 10, the town said.

Noncompliance can be fined. So far, Brookline has not fined individuals but has fined businesses where customers or employees were found to be violating the order according to WCVB BOSTON.
